Let’s Talk About Green Tea for
Acne
People
are often looking for natural remedies for their acne issues.
Green Tea for Acne is a natural remedy to consider in solving
your acne issues.
Green
tea acts as an anti-bacterial substance, which is great for
acne. Green tea for acne is also a great alternative because
it contains many antioxidants. Antioxidants fight free
radicals. Persons
with acne need to fight free radicals because free radicals
cause cell and tissue damage.
Drinking green tea for acne is a start,
but you should also consider using products that contain
green tea. Because green tea is steamed when it is picked
the antioxidants stay intact making the products with green
tea more potent in topical products we use for
acne.

Dr.
Gan-Wong found that using a green tea for acne product with
3% green tea provided the same results as using a 4% benzoyl
peroxide product; he reported his findings in 2003 to the
American Academy of Dermatology.
When
using green tea for acne go at it from both the inside of
your body and the outside of your body. First, drink green
tea. The green tea will cleanse your body. Second, find a
topical product that contains green tea using the
anti-bacterial properties to stop acne from
spreading.
If
you drink green tea or apply green tea topical products, you
are giving your body a double dose of fighting free
radicals. We want to fight the free radicals so that as acne
heals we will reduce cell and tissue
damage.
Something
to try at home:
-
After
drinking your green tea gently wipe your face with the
green tea bag, which will sooth your
face
-
A
Green tea for acne mask involves taking a green tea bag,
boiling the tea, mix the cooled tea with an egg white,
wash your face, and then apply the mixture to your face.
Allow the mask to dry and then wash the dried mask off
with a warm cloth. Your skin will feel soothed and
tight.
-
A
second green tea for acne mask uses a green tea bag, tea
tree oil, and aloe Vera gel. Open the tea bag and grind
the tea into a fine powder. Add 2-3 drops of the tea tree
oil and the aloe Vera gel forming a smooth paste. Apply
the paste to acne-affected areas; be careful not to get
in your eyes. Allow the mask to dry and then wash off
with warm water.
Remember
if you experience any discomfort or irritation wash off
immediately.
